About us
Welcome to Institut Ortopèdic Barcelona
Our team of orthotic and prosthetic professionals has the knowledge and experience to handle the full process: measuring, designing and crafting orthoses and prosthetics, and fitting them perfectly to each patient.
This extensive experience, together with a warm and human approach, lets us guarantee our products and keep our patients satisfied. Ongoing training keeps our technicians up to date with the latest advances, both in custom manufacturing and standard products.
Our own factory
We manufacture every piece in our own workshop in Barcelona
Unlike centers that only distribute standard products, at IOB we design and manufacture every orthosis and prosthesis ourselves. That lets us control every detail, from the material to the final fit.

Our own manufacturing, tailored results
OKM System
A custom immobilization system with a zip closure, combining a 100% cotton elastic fabric with a rigid polyurethane foam padding. It is an exact copy of the area to be immobilized, offering the comfort of extreme lightness.
Indicated for post-traumatic, post-surgical, ligament injury and degenerative cases.
DAFO
A dynamic ankle-foot orthosis designed to treat neuromuscular conditions, mainly aimed at pediatric patients, although many adults also benefit from its design.
The most common conditions it is used for include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries and Down syndrome, among others.
